Oooh look! It's another Thanksgiving picture! This one is of me driving the boat to blueberry hill. It's the first time I've ever driven a boat! Posted by Hello

Here's my cousin Donna and Becky in the boat at Ghost Lake this weekend. We were going out to look for emeralds (since they'd been discovered in the area) Posted by Hello

I just went out for a long drive with my sister. We hopped in the van, cranked some ABBA Gold, and picked up a smartie blizzard. Then we drove around Dryden, on some old highways, everywhere. We had a really good conversation. She's turned into a real teenager, and was talking about some of the guys at school. I warned her (with a big grin) that guys are, well, not exactly thinking with their brains in highschool. To which I got "but he's DIFFERENT!". Yeah, uh huh. Been there, said that. I wish I could tape her and play it at her wedding - or 21st birthday!

I've figured out why so many people have crushes on celebrities. It's because in a show, or in a movie, we get to "know" them well (albeit we are meeting their characters, and not their own personality). Nonetheless, since most characters depicted as the sort of people one would find attractive, it's not that surprising.

And after that interlude, I need to blurt out my latest crush. Topher Grace. I am definitely all about the scrawny neighbor boy. So, speaking of which, where are they all? Everyone on That 70's Show is always teasing Eric that if it weren't for Donna, he'd be all alone forever. So it stands to reason that there's real guys out there in the same situation (although, Donna-less). So where the hell are they?

So the X-Prize has been won, by the American team with SpaceShipOne. Nice to know someone finally won it.

Had a pretty good weekend, Friday I got a blue Betta fish, went to Lucy's for dinner, and then we went to Amy's for the Geology party. There were some VERY drunk people there, but I got to know lots of people a lot better. Saturday I hung out, cleaned the apartment, and knitted until dinner. Then Laura and I went and picked up some movies (Bridget Jones's Diary and Calendar Girls) and watched them, and stayed up till 2AM remeniscing. I slept over, and today Laura made belgian waffles, and we watched Pirates of the Carribean with her roommate, Allison.

I should be doing my Hydro homework, but I haven't a clue how to do it, so I'm going to try to get help with it tomorrow. I also have an ore test on Friday, I need to identify 26 hand samples, and give the proper chemical formulas for them. Ick. But it's Thanksgiving, and Allan's coming at some point so that should be fun.

The girls night last night was for the specific reason that Laura and I are both single, and consequently lonely, so we ate chocolate and watched movies. I want to know where the hell all the nice guys are hiding. Or are there really that few that all of them have already been snapped up? Maybe I'm just too picky, because that's a definite possiblity as well. But I'm grumpy and frustrated now. Hopefully Thanksgiving will help to remedy that.
