Here's Allan's coat. Right now it's missing buttons and buttonholes, as well as a good dose of ironing. Allan - a warning, even once it's done it might need a few strategic safety pins to make it look nice and sharp, since fleece is really soft and floppy. Posted by Hello

Holp!

So. One of my friends is engaged. Wow, what do you do when everyone around you suddenly begins to change, with their lives unfolding before them? My life, at the moment, is rather like one of those tents. You know, the ones that get stuck halfway through pitching them, and lean sideways, so all the rain puddles and leaks in, and then falls down when someone outside sneezes on it? Not that it's bad, I just feel like I have less direction in it than I would like. My God, I don't even have a boyfriend or anything of the sort, no solid job, no degree (yet, of course).

I forget what Wormtongue's exact lines were, but the were something like this:
"Who knows what you've said to the darkness....with the walls of your bower closing in around you."

Kind of sums it up don't it! Although like I said, I am happy right now, just not solid. J-E-L-L-O. Hopefully once I'm settled down in Thunder Bay I'll feel a little more stable. After all I'll have moved four times this summer, which can make anyone topsy-turvy.

But I digress. I shall post a picture of a ring I found online, which is very close to what I would like someday in a wedding ring. I don't want mine to be so - well - prominent though. less diamond spikes per se, so that it's a smaller tanzanite or sapphire with a few diamond accents, on white gold or platinum. Don't ask much, do I?

New Computer!

Yes, I got my new computer. Hip hip hurray! Yeah, I'm nerdy, but that's OK. It's amazing, with XP, 512 Mb RAM, 60GB harddrive....it just goes on and on.

Not much else is new here, I will be leaving SAIT shortly, and then back to Lakehead. I just bought some material to cover the loveseat my parents will be giving me for my new apartment. It's a really nice shade of bluey-purple. I also got the material so that I can actually make the dream dress. Woohoo! I had material already for the outer layer, but since it's completely sheer I thought I'd get something for underneath as well.

Allan's costume is coming along as well, we've almost finished the jacket. It's completely sewn, just lacking buttons and button holes. The pants are also hemmed, and the vest cut out and with some preliminary sewing. It will be done, I think! Once I get the chance I'll take a piccy.

Long weekend coming up to, and I'm very much looking forward to it. Ang and I are going to Buck Lake, for some water skiing and tubing. And hopefully escaping the heat! It's been torturous here, with outdoor temperatures of 29 and 30, and indoor temperatures of 35.

Just a quick note to explain my lack of blogging for a month - I'm getting a new computer, Dell Inspiron 5150 with 512 Mb RAM, CD-R/DVD-ROM, 60GB Hard disk space....sweet ass in other words.  I promise when I have it I'll crazy update, and once I move back to Ontario I'll try to update every few days.

New things:
~went to Cirque du Soleil, absolutely amazing
~found out SAIT was kicking us out Aug 15, so on Aug 11 we're moving to my hairdressers sisters house - long story, I'll post it later
~parents and grandparents came to visit, so lots of fun, dinners, and staying in Okotoks
~had fun in Kananaskis
~got burnt in our incredibly hot weather at Lake Chestermere - sunscreen expires, believe it or not
