I got all my MEC stuff yesterday for Hawai'i and field school. All told, it came to less than $500 which I was very impressed by. Hiking boots, 38L backpack, walking stick, rain coat, rain pants, and 2 pairs of hiking socks. Mmmmmmm hiking socks. They are soooooo comfy. Now I have to break in said hiking boots before Hawai'i, which is going to mean some serious walking and blisters. Ouch.
